AWARD
Dr. Deepak Sharan recieved the National Award for Best Individual Working for the Cause of Persons with Disabilities for the year 2008.
Given every year since 1969, by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (Govt. Of India), the award recognises the achievements of individuals who are working for the welfare of persons with disabilities. Since 1995, the International Day of Disabled Persons is celebrated on 3rd December every year and National Awards are given on that day, usually by the President of India.
